WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
As a Senior Strategist on our team, you will lead and support strategy development to solve client problems across client Consumer and Business verticals. You are a big picture thinker who love pushing boundaries, illuminating emerging trends and writing provoking briefs. You are comfortable asserting a strategic perspective that guides creative and client conversations to new places, while also structuring this exciting strategic approaches through interesting framework.

The best candidate for this role has a natural curiosity, passion for events, sports and/or music, and ability to filter out extraneous information that would distract teams from solving for clients' challenges.

You'll partner with strategy director, business leads (account), creatives, research, experiential design, and other disciplines within Momentum's network to ensure strategy is properly reflected across all initiatives / touchpoints, and that all efforts drive toward our clients' business objectives.


HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO (RESPONSIBILITIES)

  • Act as brand champion, leading strategy development for assigned work streams
  • Thoughtfully champion creative ideas and strategic POVs with the client: deliver well-devised, clear, concise and compelling client presentations to sell-in recommendations
  • Serve as an excellent leader in aligning strategy with a client's business goals and objectives
  • Develop and deliver high quality, compelling creative briefings, client presentations and new business presentations on a consistent basis
  • Execute omni-channel strategies and tactics for agency across our process, products, people and clients
  • Work with clients to determine and identify objectives, goals, KPI's, strategies and tactics
  • Provide internal team with understanding of the cultural landscape, consumer behavior, competitive activity and emerging technologies, culture and global trends
  • Act as a thoughtful, consultative partner to our clients and internal cross-functional teams and agency partners
  • Foster a team environment and play an active role in hiring or mentoring new team members
  • Develop frameworks and methodologies for approaching strategic issues, leveraging existing Momentum intellectual capital
  • Participate in the identification and prioritization of client opportunities, including new business proposals
  • Supporting Momentum's values
  • All other duties as required


HERE'S WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR (QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS)

  • 3+ years of experience: experience, brand, or comms strategy
  • Agency experience preferred
  • Music, Basketball, technology or Partnership experience a plus
  • Proven leadership ability with strong client relationship skills
  • Familiarity with the experiential landscape – sponsorships, festival activations, other experiential
  • Experience managing and coordinating multiple strategic projects across internal teams and client relationships
  • Experience drafting strategic thought leadership
  • Knowledge of integrated marketing and sponsorship disciplines (including primary research, segmentation, targeting, measurement, partner/media integrations, etc.)
  • Exceptional written, oral communication and presentation skills
  • Keen understanding of audience and cultural nuancing

SALARY RANGE
The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; location and region; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee's/applicant's background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
