Senior Test Engineer

Job Description:

This is mid-level engineering test position that is available on the Corporate R&D team. The individual will be responsible for test and measurement of devices, primarily for MACOM’s GaAs, GaN, Si based and BAW technology, in support of technology development, application model development, and device design.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Characterize semiconductor devices and ICs from RF to millimeter wave – test including DC, pulsed IV, S-parameter, noise and large-signal to support modeling team, technology development and application support
• Analysis of DC and RF test data, device performance and results of process development
• Support for reliability evaluation and test of die and products
• Customize and develop test software to simplify and automate a wide of variety of electrical characterization
• Manage test lab equipment, maintenance and calibration, and interaction with suppliers
• Interaction with range of engineering teams around MACOM
• Manage and train junior staff in the team

Qualifications / Skills:

• BS degree and minimum of 5 years relevant microwave test experience
• Experience with test lab equipment such as power supplies, SMUs, oscilloscopes, and network analyzers
• Significant experience with on wafer probing and RF test
• Experience with load/source pull measurements, pulsed IV and gate/drain lag
• Ability to set up and validate test setups for non-standard tests
• Experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and plotting
• Understanding of semiconductor devices
• Basic proficiency with Linux shell and basic scripting, programming experience in Python a plus
