Senior Web and Application Tester

Elevate is recruiting an experienced Senior Web and Application Tester with proven experience in testing tightly integrated distributed applications in an agile environment to help us support our customers. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency of our Operational Teams and Development functions. Your primary responsibility will be to develop comprehensive test plans derived from functional requirements, diligently executing testing playbooks and leveraging platforms like Test Rail to automate testing procedures. Your keen attention to detail, outstanding problem-solving skills, and ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders will contribute significantly to the quality assurance of our technology operations. Your passion for creating robust testing environments and your commitment to quality improvement will drive the success of our technology team.

Specifically, the Senior Web and Application Tester will

• Develop, implement, and maintain test strategy documents, test plans, test scenarios, and test cases based on functional requirements.
• Identification of test data requirements and maintenance of associated test datasets.
• Creation of Requirements Traceability Matrices to ensure complete coverage within test plans.
• Conduct manual testing where necessary and automate tests using platforms like Test Rail.
• Collaborate with operational teams to understand system requirements and functionality.
• Identify, track, and document thoroughly any bugs or defects.
• Regularly report on testing progress, results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders.
• Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyse trade-offs between usability and performance needs.
• Work proactively to ensure test environment is fit for purpose and contains relevant data.

Experience

• 5+ years’ experience as a Test Analyst in a technology team.
• Experience in developing test plans and executing testing playbooks.
• Experience with automated testing platforms like Test Rail.

• Good understanding of manual and Automation testing and testing Methodologies like Functional, Smoke, Sanity, Regression, and Retesting.
• Adhoc, Usability Testing.
• API Testing.
• Expertise in writing procedures, test scenarios and test cases.
• Thrive as a team player in a dynamic, fast-moving development environment.
• Can successfully multi-task and prioritize activities to meet client expectations.

Technical Skills

• Software development lifecycles like SDLC, waterfall, STLC, Bug Life cycle.
• Knowledge of Agile SCRUM.
• Website Applications.
• Mobile application Android and IOS, Applications.
• JIRA, Test Rail and one or more of TestNG, Postman, GraphQL, SOA Test, Mants BT, BUGZILLA.

Qualifications

• E./B.Tech. degree in Computer Science and Electronics or a related field from a Tier II institute.
• Certification like MCP and Azure. (Preferred).
