Senior/Principal Financial Communications Professional
We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic financial communications professional to join our high-energy team. In this role, you will lead the development of proactive financial communications strategies for PGE's executive leadership team. Your responsibilities will include creating engaging storytelling moments that inspire the investor community and effectively communicate our company strategy to key stakeholders, including our diverse employee audience. You will also be responsible for reviewing significant company regulatory filings and public communications through the lens of the investor community and providing feedback to ensure alignment.
As the ideal candidate, you should possess a wealth of experience in developing and executing strategic communications plans, while managing multiple projects simultaneously. You should be comfortable strategizing with the C-suite, as well as being hands-on and meeting with employees across our facilities when needed. Your ability to adapt to new challenges, operate with skill, diplomacy, and drive will be key to your success in this role.

Key Responsibilities
Strategy and Planning Proactively develops financial communications plan and strategy. Oversees alignment of executive outreach (including Chief Financial and Chief Executive Officer outreach) and messaging consistent with strategy.
Content Writes or oversees the writing and editing of key executive financial content (e.g., earnings scripts, financial announcements, investor presentations, employee communications). Oversees content review process. Ensures consistent executive narrative through all messaging channels. Collaborates with and leads others across company to provide consistent narrative aligned to overall strategy. Reviews all significant external communications through the shareholder lens.
Media Relations Build mutually beneficial relationships with key financial media outlets and influencers. Develops and places earned media coverage/stories that positively influence investor perceptions and advances business outcomes. May serve as a communications coach to key executives.
Consultation Serves as a companywide communication expert linking narratives and overseeing a consistent proactive approach to financially related communications, including regulatory communications. Advises executives, including Chief Financial and Chief Executive Officers, on outreach opportunities to ensure consistent alignment with strategic objectives. Proactively anticipates overall enterprise communication needs and provides strategic communication solutions.
Vendor Management May select and engage vendors as needed. Establishes quality metrics. Monitors work product quality of freelancers, agencies, and other outside resources. Ensures alignment to overall brand concept.
Other Duties Oversees the development of department metrics. Designs, monitors, and tracks metrics and reports back to clients. Provides guidance and direction to other team members. May lead cross-functional projects. May serve as a mentor to other team members and assign and direct work. Oversees high level or sensitive projects.
Education/Experience/Certifications
Education Requires a bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, writing or other related field or equivalent experience.
Experience Typically 8 - 10 years of experience in finance, business, energy, investor, and communications and/or some combination of this background.

PGE supports hybrid flexible work arrangements; and will have a combination of in-the-office and working offsite, however, these arrangements may need to change due to business needs or changes in responsibility.

$85,500.00 - $169,875.00
