Responsible for designing, developing, operating and maintaining software, firmware components, or computing systems software to be applied to and integrated with solutions or products that also encompass non-information technology related engineering or scientific disciplines. Applies the appropriate software standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the system life cycle to support the generation of multi-disciplinary solutions and products such as intelligence tasking, control, exploitation and dissemination; command and control; situational awareness; digital signal processing; and modeling and simulation. Interfaces with customers, suppliers, application users and other technical and support personnel.
Responsibilities Include:
- Developing software detectors for IQ spectrum data
- Integrating commercial measurement software into system architecture
- Performs support to prototype testing and field experimentation
- Performs all functional duties independently
- Works on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently. May oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.
- Initiates, supervises, and/or develops requirements from a project’s inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs; Provides strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff; Provides detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for mission critical challenges/issues.
Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess an active TOP SECRET SCI Clearance is required for this position – with a CI Polygraph to be acquired in the future. Sequoia Strategies & Solutions can facilitate getting polygraph for qualified candidates with active TOP SECRET/SCI without a current CI poly.
Candidates without active TS/SCI clearances will not be considered.
Experience Required
- Must have at least BS degree in Engineering or Computer Science and 15 years of experience in software engineering and programming for software application development.
- Must have expertise in requirements analysis, design, and coding methodologies; data base design approaches; documentation standards; configuration management; DOD software policy; and DOD test and evaluation requirements.
Experience Desired
- Familiarity with Sceptre Software
- Knowledge of Radio Frequency spectrum including commercial and military bands
- Proficient with Python
