Servers

Gettysburg College is seeking several part-time servers to work approximately 20-25 hours per week in the student Dining Center. Positions work a more regular schedule during the academic year, and sporadically during the summer months. These positions are generally responsible for preparing the serving area for the meal, serving customers by dishing the selected food items to the customer’s plate, returning food items to the kitchen at the conclusion of the meal, and properly cleaning/sanitizing the work area.

Positions require frequent bending and lifting, handling of food products and contact with caustic chemicals. The successful candidate must be able to read and understand basic instructions. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, is required. Gettysburg College seeks candidates who have the communication skills and cross-cultural abilities to maximize their effectiveness with diverse groups of students, colleagues and community members.
