Service Manager

Iron Ox is reimagining the modern farm, utilizing robotics and AI to grow fresh, consistent, and responsibly farmed produce for everyone. The Service Manager is a key member of our Operation and an opportunity to contribute greatly to our mission of solving food insecurity with a net positive impact on the environment. As Service Manager, you will oversee and be responsible for the overall uptime of our autonomous robots and OEM equipment. You will further develop our service strategy, optimizing and identifying opportunities to evolve our resources, tools, and people. You would have the opportunity to lead a team of technical experts in-field, and develop the playbook for Service at Iron Ox. Additionally, this role is instrumental in ensuring high-casualty parts supply chain & maintenance plans.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Developing our service strategy, focusing on uptime
  • Becoming an expert on Iron Ox systems, climate controls, and production equipment
  • Managing workload and staff to ensure maximum efficiency and uptime of the farm
  • Develop technical documentation and repositories to support the tech team
  • Support in troubleshooting, diagnostic plans, and developing methods of service
  • Planning, implementing, and supervising capital projects when required
  • Developing and maintaining an annual departmental budget
  • Work closely with corporate Service and are aligned with team and objectives.
  • Preparing and presenting weekly reports
  • Managing post-sanitation/ pre-production start up
  • Other trade duties as assigned

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years in Service or Tech Maintenance
  • Ability to prioritize on a strategic and tactical level
  • Clear leadership, management, and team building skills
  • A bias for action: the ability to problem solve with an eye to eliminate challenges long term
  • Ability to quickly build relationships and leverage your high EQ (Emotional Quotient or Emotional Intelligence)
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and management skills
  • Proven experience as a Servant Leader
  • Strong mentoring and coaching experience to a team with diverse levels of expertise and backgrounds
  • Ability to influence and engage direct & indirect reports and peers
  • Experience with inventory management, warehouse operations, customer shipments, product quality, on-time deliveries and attention to cleanliness
