Service Writer/Advisor Tue-Sat

We are looking for a service advisor/writer to join our team in Muncy, PA. The primary work schedule for this position is Tuesday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Our Service Advisors are responsible for scheduling service work in the service department and selling additional needed service to customers. In addition, this position may be trained to handle ordering parts our technicians need to complete work orders. Exact starting salary will be determined by documented previous work experience and knowledge of the medium/heavy duty truck repair industry.

Responsibilities:

· Communicate with service customers to determine the nature of the mechanical problems

· Secure agreement from customers before repairs; cover cost estimate; and approximate time when truck’s work will be completed.

· Handle minor customer complaints and misunderstandings.

· Follow up progress of each repair order during the day, contact customers by telephone regarding changes in the estimate or time promised.

· Coordinate work assignments for service technicians.

Requirements

· Previous medium/heavy duty truck or automobile service advisor/writer or mechanic experience a huge plus. Current CDL also a plus.

· Demonstrated customer service skills.

· Excellent verbal and written communications skills

· Enthusiastic demeanor even in a fast-paced environment

· Solid computer skills to include Microsoft Office programs
