ServiceNow Developer

Kilpatrick Townsend a large international law firm, is seeking a ServiceNow Developer for our Information Technology Department in our Atlanta office. This position will be part of our team of attorneys, paralegals and support staff providing a high level of service to both internal and external clients. The ServiceNow Developer will lead the development of the ServiceNow platform; using the hub and spoke integration to provide streamlined workflows, as well as to empower users with automated self-service tools. The primary focus of this position is enhancement and development of the Service Now and ITSM platform, as well as developing custom apps for all administrative departments to have a cohesive single request and knowledge portal.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop and deploy new solutions, modules, and features.
  • Create technical and functional documents for ongoing maintenance items and projects.
  • Provide ServiceNow Administration and Functional/Development Support.
  • Perform Systems Integration Testing and manage/coordinate user acceptance testing.
  • Configure Workflow and Approval.
  • Conduct informal knowledge sharing sessions with the technical support team.
  • Work independently on projects to implement, document, and knowledge transfer.
  • Understand business requirements and suggest enhancements and process improvements.
  • Provide guidance to team to validate technical requirements and project plans.
  • See projects / assignments through to completion while adhering to business timelines.
  • Provide 3rd level support to all applications.
  • Provide on-call support on rotation.
  • Participate as an active team member on projects assisting project managers in completion of project tasks.
  • Ensure proper documentation is maintained on all projects.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's Degree in the area of CS, CIS, EE, Mathematics or related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience with application development and design in a professional environment.
  • 2+ years’ experience with HTML/Javascript development.
  • Minimum 2+ years’ of experience developing, implementing, configuring, and customizing ServiceNow in an enterprise environment.
  • Skilled with ServiceNow ITSM components, as well as App Engine and development.
  • Experience administering, configuring, developing, and customizing ServiceNow and related integrations.
  • Experience with Flow creation/modification in ServiceNow.
  • Experience assisting ServiceNow implementations including managing interactions with customers and handling escalations.
  • Power Shell and Java Script knowledge for use cases development.
  • Strong Knowledge of the ITSM Framework.
  • Ability to work with end users, technical staff, and management as necessary.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong documentation and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Strong multi-tasking and analytical skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical/application problems.
  • Experience with working or developing in the following programming languages: JavaScript, Client and Server-side Scripting, ServiceNow API's, Web Services.
  • Experience with technical ServiceNow components such as: business rules, client scripts, UI policies and actions, UI pages and macros, script includes, catalog items, workflows, web services, reports, archiving, etc.
  • Prior training/certifications for supported applications are preferable.
  • Excellent knowledge of ServiceNow Best Practices and ongoing knowledge of latest ServiceNow features.
  • Familiarity with IT technologies including common hardware, networking, and software licensing.
  • Good skills/experience with Incident Management, Change Management, Configuration Management, Service Request, Asset Management, and Knowledge Management.
  • Ability to manage schedules and commitments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to plan, organize and drive multiple projects at one time.
  • Action and results-oriented, emphasizing expansion and application of technical knowledge.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions or inquiries from supervisor, customers, coworkers, coordinating personnel, etc.
  • Ability to interface with Partners, Associates, clients, vendors, directors, managers, and support staff.
  • Works well with others; encourages others to build strong working relationships. Fits within a fast paced, ever changing, innovative environment and represents themselves to the collective community with a professional demeanor. Respectful to other individuals working directly or indirectly with them.

This is a full-time, regular position with a multi-faceted health benefit package including medical, dental, and vision. The firm also offers life insurance, short term disability plans and retirement plans in addition to holidays and paid time off. The firm offers hybrid work schedules combining in office work days as well as remote work days. The pay range for this position in Atlanta only is $140,000 to $165,000 annually.
