Job Description

Who We Are:
At ServiceNow, our technology makes the world work for everyone, and our people make it possible. We move fast because the world can’t wait, and we innovate in ways no one else can for our customers and communities. By joining ServiceNow, you are part of an ambitious team of change makers with a restless curiosity and a drive for ingenuity. We support each other to make our individual and collective dreams come true. The future is ours, and it starts with you.

What You’ll Do:
As the Senior Director of Corporate PR, you will be responsible for developing and executing high-impact media relations and corporate communications strategies that position ServiceNow as a market leader. This role is pivotal to shaping our external narrative, driving media coverage, and elevating the visibility of our executive team. The ideal candidate is an experienced, media-savvy communications leader who excels at building strong media relationships, crafting compelling narratives, and collaborating cross-functionally to amplify our company’s voice in the market.

How You’ll Do It:

  • Corporate Communications Strategy: Lead the development and execution of a corporate PR strategy that aligns with business objectives, enhances brand perception, and elevates ServiceNow’s profile across key media outlets.
  • Media Relations: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with top-tier media, industry analysts, and influencers. Drive a proactive media engagement strategy to secure impactful coverage that highlights ServiceNow’s vision, business momentum and milestones, leadership, and product innovation.
  • Executive Visibility: Work closely with senior executives to build their public profiles through strategic media engagements; collaborate with executive communications on speaking opportunities and thought leadership initiatives. Prepare executive teams with media coaching, key message development, and briefing materials.
  • Strategic Storytelling: Craft compelling, multi-dimensional narratives that capture ServiceNow's values, market positioning, and vision. Partner with internal stakeholders to align on key messaging that resonates across corporate, product, partner, and customer stories.
  • Issue and Crisis Management: Support the company’s reputation by managing issues and crises with quick, thoughtful responses. Collaborate with legal, product, and internal teams to prepare and execute effective communications plans as needed.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across Product, Marketing, and Sales to identify opportunities for integrated campaigns and to support product launches, thought leadership, and corporate announcements.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on corporate PR performance. Use data-driven insights to refine media strategies and demonstrate the impact of PR on brand visibility and reputation.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years in corporate communications, public relations, or media relations in the tech industry, ideally within a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Previous experience in SaaS preferred; expertise in financial communications, crisis communications, brand & reputation, M&A and investments required. Global familiarity and cultural awareness critical.
  • Media Relations Expertise: Extensive network of established relationships with media and industry influencers in the tech and business sectors, with a strong record of driving impactful media coverage. Excellence with proactive pitches and story placement, as well as confidence and ability to drive stories, respond, and fact check.
  • Executive Communications: Skilled in executive support, including media coaching, briefing preparation, and strategic counsel to help leaders communicate effectively and build their profiles.
  • Strategic Storytelling: Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with a demonstrated ability to translate complex information into compelling narratives for broad audiences.
  • Financial & Earnings Communications: Deep fluency in financial reporting communications, especially for quarterly and full-year earnings, financial and regulatory filings, annual reports, etc. Direct experience drafting financial remarks and messaging, as well as advising C-suite, required.
  • Crisis Management: Experience in handling issues and crises with poise and agility, using strategic communications to protect and enhance corporate reputation.
  • Collaborative Leadership: A natural team player who can work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives.
  • Quick Thinking: Comfortable in a dynamic environment, able to make decisions quickly and think strategically under pressure.
  • Self-Starter: Highly motivated and able to work independently, balancing big-picture thinking with hands-on execution.
