Job Description

The Study Scheduler creates a schedule (list of study visits with dates and procedures) for each clinic study using the Scheduler software program and study design information. The study scheduler works with Investigators and clinic management to identify needed personnel and other resources, updates schedules as needed to accommodate their availability, sends out notifications of schedule updates, tracks all changes to study schedules, and coordinates the participation of external resources such as physicians as needed.

JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Uses Scheduler software to enter study schedules for signed new studies and high-certainty prospective studies
  • Provides general timeframes for prospective new studies on request by sales team
  • Consults with Investigators and clinic staff on required staff or equipment
  • Sends out New Study Information email (NSI) when new or changed study schedule is approved and as required
  • Tracks list of requested and in-progress study schedules for prospective and signed new studies
  • Provides reports as requested on number of new studies, study starts per period, etc
  • Completes training within required deadline
  • Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree (science, business, or project management preferred) - Required
  • 6-18 months clinical research experience or equivalent - Required

 

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES

  • Ability to learn and use proprietary Scheduler software at expert level
  • Strong understanding of clinic processes and flow, and ability to create study schedules that make good use of resources
  • Excellent ability to establish priorities with minimal supervision and attention to detail
  • Microsoft Word: Intermediate proficiency
  • Microsoft Excel: Intermediate proficiency
