Responsibilities
As the Director of Product you will lead the product teams to drive innovation through the development of products and features that delight customers. As the leader of the Product team, you will work directly with stakeholders to determine product vision, strategies and roadmaps. You will also be responsible for orchestrating and developing ideation sessions with business unit leaders around new products. This role will require relentless focus on prioritization and market trends to ensure that our backlogs align with customer needs. You will be responsible for challenging traditional approaches, remove barriers to success, and foster a culture of continuous innovation that helps inspire cross-functional teamwork. This role will report directly to the Chief Strategy Officer.
- Oversees the product roadmap, vision, development, execution, risk management, and business growth targets
- Define and drive organizational alignment on the vision, multi-year planning and roadmap for product development and growth efforts.
- Leads the entire product life cycle through planning, execution, and future development by continuously adapting, developing new products and methodologies, managing risks, and achieving business targets like cost, features, reusability, and reliability to support growth
- Own the customer and competitive research, as well as testing and analysis to maximize customer demand and conversion and reduce customer churn
- Own the product roadmap and delivery, including management of dependencies with internal and external partner organizations.
- Own the broader organizational updates and socialization of our product roadmap, delivery and business performance
- Build and lead a team of product managers, owners, and analyst that will work directly with business unit leaders to define and prioritize product strategy and development;
- Lead and develop strategic ideation, evaluation & definition of detailed intent requirements to execution & monitoring of our products.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional experience in transportation strategy or product related roles
- 5+ years of professional experience leading product development and growth efforts
- 5+ years of professional experience recruiting, managing and developing worldclass teams
- Experience in developing transportation, payment and financial products preferred but not required
- Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
- Agile Experience preferred but not required
- Jira experience very beneficial
- Results oriented, hardworking, quick to demonstrate success, organized, focused and persistent
- Ability to multi-task and manage several projects at the same time.
