Senior Technical Accountant
ShapeTX is seeking a Senior Technical Accountant with a strong analytical background and deep understanding of GAAP to join its dynamic finance team in Seattle, WA. This role involves leading technical accounting research, financial reporting, compliance activities, and collaborating with leadership on control implementation.
Skills
- Thorough knowledge of US GAAP and SEC regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparation of annual financial statements and related schedules
- Lead technical accounting research on various topics
- Analyze and account for stock-based compensation and equity
- Maintain accounting policies and procedures for compliance
- Support audit processes and internal controls testing
- Provide guidance and training on technical accounting matters
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA certification required
