Summer Intern- HR Benefits Marketing

Overview

Sharp is seeking a dynamic and creative Benefits/Marketing Intern to join our HR team for the Summer of 2025. This intern will play a pivotal role in redesigning our benefits enrollment guide, making it more visually appealing and user-friendly, and developing engaging materials to help employees better understand their benefits. This is a unique opportunity for a marketing-savvy individual with an interest in HR to combine creativity with practical knowledge, contributing to impactful internal communications.

  • Valuable insight into benefits design and communication strategies within a corporate environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the HR and Marketing teams to redesign the benefits enrollment guide, ensuring clarity, readability, and visual appeal.
  • Create short, engaging videos and materials explaining medical benefits, industry acronyms (e.g., PPO, HSA, etc.), and Sharp’s unique offerings.
  • Work closely with the Marketing department to develop HR-centric marketing materials that align with the company’s brand identity.
  • Simplify complex benefit concepts for a broad audience, making information accessible and relatable to employees from all backgrounds.
  • Research and identify innovative ways to communicate benefits information effectively, including digital tools and platforms.
  • Assist in other HR marketing initiatives, such as employee onboarding materials, wellness program promotions, and benefit awareness campaigns.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of HR concepts and employee benefits, or a willingness to learn.
  • Strong graphic design skills and proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics in simple terms.
  • Creative mindset with a passion for creating visually engaging and informative content.
  • Experience with video creation and editing tools is a plus (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro).
  • Collaborative team player with strong organizational and time management skills.

Summer Internship Details:

  • Compensation: The hourly rate is $18/hr.
  • Duration: The internship program spans approximately 10 weeks, running from June 2nd to August 15th, 2025.
  • Work Arrangement: This is a hybrid position, requiring interns to be in the office in Montvale, NJ, four days a week (Monday to Thursday), with Fridays designated for remote work at the manager's discretion. 
  • Transportation: Since the office location in Montvale, NJ, is not accessible by public transportation, interns must have reliable transportation.
  • Housing: We do not provide housing or a housing stipend for interns.
  • Work Visa: Unfortunately, we do not offer work visa sponsorship for this role, including participation in Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F-1 Visa programs.
