Our 2024 Summer Internship program is a wonderful opportunity for rising 2025 graduates to immerse themselves in an innovative and mission driven culture. As a Developer Experience intern, you will design and implement developer efficiency tools that will be used across Hivemind. These tools will be used by all Hivemind AI engineers and will improve the velocity and quality of their code. The project will start from nothing and end with you showing off your work to the company. The skills you refine during the process, and the people you meet will forever influence how you approach engineering problems. Come join the team today! 

• Fully own, develop, and release a development tool. 
• Gather requirements based on feedback from Hivemind engineers. 
• Architect solution based on requirements. 
• Write infrastructure as code to deploy cloud resources. 
• Design and create a REST API to perform search queries. 
• Create automation to ingest technical documents. 
• Meet and solve problems for the best AI engineers in the industry! 

• Available to live in San Diego between June 3rd - Aug 9th OR June 24th - Aug 30th
• Pursuing a Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. 
• Strong understanding of programming fundamentals and proficiency in at least one programming language such as C, C++, Rust, Go. 
• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms principles. 
• Experience with Git. 
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for learning new technologies. 

• Previous internship or project experience in software development. 
• Experience writing REST APIs. 
• Experience with Terraform. 
• Experience writing code that interfaces with a database. 
• Experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab CI, Github Actions, Azure DevOps.

Total package details:

Regular employee positions: Salary within range listed above + Bonus + Benefits + Equity (if applicable)

Temporary employee positions: Hourly within range listed above + temporary benefits package (applicable after 60 days of employment)
