QA Engineer

Shift4 is a leader in commerce-enabling technology, powering billions of transactions annually. They are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join their expanding global QA division to ensure the quality of software releases and products.

Skills

Proven experience in web application testing (3+ years).
API testing experience (1+ years).
Proficiency in SQL for data validation and backend testing.
Strong understanding of QA methodologies and various testing types including regression, smoke, and test case creation.
Experience working in Agile SDLC environments.
Ability to validate deliverables against acceptance criteria, functional and non-functional requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Self-motivated, quality-driven team player.

Responsibilities

Develop testing strategies and test plans for sprint tasks, estimate and prioritize testing efforts and identify risks.
Review product requirements and define matching test cases.
Create manual test cases from functional requirements provided by product teams and third parties.
Configure and prepare test systems and curate test data sets.
Perform functional and integration testing proactively during sprint cycles.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Business Analysts, Developers, and other team members.
Participate in continuous improvement of development processes, technical solutions, and QA standards.
Diagnose and resolve issues with deployed systems through engagement with support personnel and customers.
Assess existing systems to maximize quality, improve customer satisfaction, and reduce maintenance costs.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred but not explicitly stated.
