Responsible for the use of SAP system and other duties associated with shipping. Shipping Clerk makes sure that customers receive the Finish goods they ordered in a timely manner without any mistakes in the delivery. In this way the shipping clerk will be an important liaison between our business and our clients, making sure that everyone gets what they need quickly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Process finish goods orders by creating/routing waves from the wave monitor.
• Follow up customer’s special shipping instructions required in the pick list. Print special labels, Ship not before, etc.
• Balance material pickers workload by releasing pick list equally to all of them.
• Coordinate deliveries to customers in a daily basis.
• Keep records of BOL’s/Pick list that have been shipped.
• Schedule large shipments and coordinate logistics to ensure that it is shipped and delivered in a timely manner. Full truck loads, expedite, etc.
• Perform customer service duties as necessary, maintaining good relationships with shipping carriers and customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Characteristics

• High School Diploma / GED Minimum of six months shipping experience in a manufacturing environment Attention to detail, accuracy and organization
• Ability to understand written and spoken instructions
• Basic math skills including the ability to count accurately Legible handwriting
• Function effectively in a fast-paced team environment Work cooperatively and communicate effectively with internal and external customers
• ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS Must be able to : Safely lift, push and pull up to 30 pounds without assistance Stand or walk for long periods of time Push, pull, lift, and move products and materials as needed throughout the work period Operate a powered pallet jack and other standard shipping tools and equipment Ability and willingness to work overtime and weekends as required to meet business demands

Desired Characteristics

• Shipping experience in a manufacturing environment
• Basic computer experience

Compensation

The position has a compensation package inclusive of base, bonus (if eligible), benefits, 401k contribution, time off, recognition awards and more. This salary is $14.84/hour.
