Job Summary:Reporting to the Art Director, Digital, the Graphic Designer supports the Creative Digital team with a variety of global creative digital deliverables and a primary focus on video, digital, and web asset creation. The successful candidate will bring high energy to the role in order to meet the demands of a fast-paced environment. They should be highly organized and possess strong graphic design and typography skills.Primary Duties & Responsibilities:• Conceptualize, plan, design, and produce graphics across multiple channels including video, digital, email, and social.• Collaborate with the Art Director to produce compelling storyboards with intent thoughtfulness of the following:• sequence pacing, scene transitions, typographic layout, and opportunities to implement motion design• Collaborate with Art Director and Motion Designer for in-house video projects• Collaborate with the Art Director to plan, record, and edit in-house TikTok/Social Content• Create gif animations for digital needs• Produce and/or resize digital assets for international markets, retailers, and digital platforms.• Partner closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Creative Ops and Operations on all projects to ensure marketing objectives, milestones and delivery dates are met• Perform large scale production output with a high degree of file exporting and optimization involved.• Maintain knowledge of job status, and deliverables; communicating effectively and consistently with Creative Ops, designers and other team members• Communicate effectively with Creative, Marketing and Creative Operations teams to ensure quality and consistency in all aspects of campaign execution.• Catalog finished artwork and maintain organized files• Create presentation decks for internal creative and marketing meetings as requestedCompetencies:• Demonstrate polished, innovative and confident graphic design skills with an emphasis on typography and layout; exhibit a passion about design and an ability to clearly communicate design concepts.• Demonstrate skills and understanding for in-house photography retouching, editing, and color correction.• Have an informed POV about the latest technology and design trends, always looking for ways to tell our brand story in new and compelling ways.• Thinking strategically, design with the goal of meeting business objectives, contributing creative ideas to improve the end product.• Maintain and develop excellent communication with production companies, fabricators, printers and other external resources ensuring the best services, products and prices are achieved.• Manage multiple projects simultaneously through their life-cycles in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment ensuring deliverables are achieved on time and on budget while maintaining a high standard; prioritizing short term and long term tasks.• Anticipate potential issues or roadblocks, coming up with alternatives to mitigate risks.• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.• Display strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals in a diverse community.• Anticipate graphic design and photography/video needs, implementing creative solutions that push the creative so that the look and feel is unique yet “on brand”.• Demonstrate project ownership, problem-solving ability, follow-through and responsiveness regardless of project size or scope.Qualifications:• BA or BFA in graphic design or related field.• Internship/some professional design or production experience preferred.• Technical requirements:• Command of applicable software: Adobe Creative Suite + Microsoft Office#LI-HybridShiseido is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender identity, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, genetic information or any other classification protected by Federal, State or Local law
