A Snapshot of Your DayAs an engineer in the global team for Assembly Tools & Lifting, you will be responsible for the design and execution of assembly and lifting tools for all turbo compressor product lines. You will work in a competence center for assembly and lifting, addressing both new unit and service business needs. Your day will involve collaborating with various teams, managing project timelines, and ensuring quality and safety standards.How You’ll Make An Impact• Project and order execution of mechanical design projects for special tools, ensuring technical and scheduling requirements are met.• Support various departments with project-specific needs, especially those not covered by standard designs.• Ensure compliance with Siemens Energy processes, particularly quality standards.• Identify and resolve project deviations/issues and initiate solving activities, root cause analyses, and corrective as well as preventive action implementation.• Develop and maintain assembly concepts and lifting procedures, ensuring safety and efficiency for Siemens Energy workshops and customer sites.• Collaborate with manufacturing and assembly teams to implement feedback and improve the processes of handling compressor parts.What You Bring• Minimum bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is required.• Minimum of 0-2 years of relevant experience in a related field; candidates with more experience may be considered for a more senior level role.• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and be proactive in finding solutions.• Strong communication skills to interact with various interface partners.• Hands-on experience with NX, Teamcenter, Jira, SAP and knowledge of International Rules & Regulations and Industry Standards is preferred.• Experience with mechanical strength calculations and/or FE Analysis and practical experience in compressor assembly shop is preferred.Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
