In this dynamic and visible role, you will develop, align, and coordinate the execution of industry-specific strategies that demonstrate and enhance our competitive market capabilities and positioning. You will be on point to drive and coordinate regional aspects of global projects and ensure successful, on-time completion. You will collaborate with business unit leads, functional heads, and international authorities. We will look to you to develop dynamic presentations, conduct market research and competitive analysis, and drive critical pivotal initiatives, such as sustainability.What your day-to-day will look like:• Develop understandable and digestible PowerPoint presentations for senior leadership on a short timeline.• Conduct strategic research and analysis on various topics (i.e., market and competitors' studies, due diligence, benchmarking, and analysis of strategic action fields).• Ensure continuous analyses and design of strategic positioning of the business overall and advise on the long-term development of the product, service, or solutions portfolio.• Continuously coordinate the development and execution of subordinated business strategies and related business plans and budgets and generate reports and dashboards.• Steer and coordinate the preparation and implementation of strategic planning, growth and market development strategies, market research (including the execution of strategic benchmarking), etc.• Manage the NPS process within the region.• Establish and manage relationships with industry influencers and strategic partners to enhance internal methodologies and knowledge of the respective industry and transfer knowledge to client members.• Coordinate with our Government Affairs team to align policy and strategic business priorities.• Lead all aspects of critically essential programs and assignments in progress, budget adherence, and communication.To thrive in this role, you have:• Experience in business, strategic marketing, and/or sustainability• Ability to influence peers and others to impact results in a more prominent organization. Well-established in external and internal networks within the rail industry (APTA, AAR, RSSI, RSI).• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills to craft impactful PowerPoint presentations• Ambition to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines.• Ability to use analytical tools and assess data models.• Strategic problem solver and a proactive approach to problem-solving.• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.• Relevant degree in Business, Education, Marketing, Engineering, Military, Business Administration, MBA, Economics, Finance, or Communications or related experience.• Ability to travel approximately 10% (domestic).This career may be based in Lexington, NC, Alpharetta, GA, Pittsburgh, PA, New York, NY or Sacramento, CA. The base salary range for this position in Lexington, NC, Alpharetta, GA, or Pittsburgh, PA is $122,100-$143,500. The base salary range in Sacramento, CA is $134,400-$157,800, and the base salary range in New York, NY is $146,500-$172,200 and the annual incentive target is 10% of the base salary.
