Senior Product Manager, Security Capabilities - job 1 of 2

About the team:

At Sift, the Product Management team owns the vision and oversees the execution of all of Sift’s products, from ideation to product launch. We are dedicated to safeguarding our customers’ digital platforms by preventing unauthorized account access and detecting malicious, fraudulent activities.

As cyber-fraud kill-chains are already used by fraudsters to both gather information about fraud targets and perform fraud, we are looking for a seasoned Product Manager experienced with building Threat Defense, Identity, and Cybersecurity product offerings.

Our focus is on leveraging advanced machine learning and real-time data analysis to detect and block malicious activities across the entire cyber-fraud kill chain - from account takeovers, fake account creations, fraudulent transactions, chargebacks, spam, and other abusive behaviors. We work tirelessly to ensure that our customers can maintain a secure and trustworthy environment for their users. By staying ahead of emerging threats, we enable businesses to protect sensitive user data, enhance their digital trust, and grow with confidence in a secure online space.

Amongst the different cybersecurity solutions, we develop and offer, are such that allow our customers to prevent fraudulent activities based on the trustworthiness of the identity behind transactions, and prevent account takeover (ATO). For example, our risk engine might advise the decline of a transaction if it comes from an untrustworthy identity or an account that has been taken over.

What you’ll do:

In this role, you will sit at the center of Sift’s efforts to bridge customer and market needs, innovation, machine learning, identity, security, and delightful user experiences. Working closely with customers, engineers, and data scientists, you’ll transform innovative ideas into reality, taking full ownership of your product’s success.

  • Customer-Centric Approach: Be relentlessly focused on the customer. Engage with them regularly, validate your ideas through feedback and data, and ensure the customer’s needs are at the core of everything you do.

  • Own the Product Vision: Understand the offerings in the market, the customers’ unfulfilled needs and how to bridge them, owning the “Why” and the “What” of the product you’re managing, from customer outcomes, value to Sift and product requirements, using data to back your product assumptions and requirements.

  • Own the Product Roadmap: Take charge of the product roadmap, with full responsibility for its success. Be prepared to articulate both the business and technical rationale behind your decisions here as well, basing them on data insights.

  • Execute with Precision: Write detailed specifications, create tickets, draft copy, work with the Product Marketing team to ensure a comprehensive, spectacular storytelling is built around it, and do whatever it takes to ensure your products are successfully solving customers’ most excruciating painpoints, on time.

  • Collaborate and Inspire: Effectively communicate and motivate cross-functional teams, including engineering, product marketing, customer success, and sales, to align with your product vision.

What will make you a strong fit:

Successful candidates will have a history of shipping quality products in a fast-paced environment. Experience collaborating closely with engineers, data scientists, engineering management, and designers is essential. Additionally, you should be comfortable collaborating with Marketing and Sales teams to launch new product features and drive their adoption.

  • 5-8 years of experience in product management for a cybersecurity company

  • Solid understanding of access management solutions (IAM, CIAM), threat defense, endpoint security and cybersecurity operations

Bonus points:

  • Experience overseeing SaaS products

  • Experience in the fraud space will be a big plus

Benefits and perks:

  • Competitive total compensation package

  • 401k plan

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage

  • Wellness reimbursement

  • Education reimbursement

  • Flexible time off
