We are seeking a talented Data Scientist to join our dynamic Growth Marketing team at SimplePractice.com and lead the development of advanced predictive models for Customer Lifetime Value (LTV), Churn and feature utilization. These models will not only inform growth strategies and marketing campaigns, but also help guide product development decisions by providing actionable insights derived from advanced statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms. Your work will directly impact our ability to enhance user engagement, optimize customer acquisition and retention efforts, and shape the future of SimplePractice.com.Responsibilities• Collaborate closely with the Growth Marketing team to develop and deploy predictive models to forecast Customer Lifetime Value (LTV) and predict customer Churn.• Utilize advanced statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to analyze large datasets and extract actionable insights that inform growth strategies.• Work cross-functionally to integrate models into marketing campaigns and business processes, optimizing customer acquisition and retention efforts.• Continuously monitor model performance and refine methodologies to improve accuracy and reliability in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.• Present findings and recommendations to key stakeholders in Growth Marketing and beyond, influencing strategic decisions with data-driven insights.• Create and maintain various data products, including delivery via visualization tool dashboards, reports, ad hoc data analysis, spreadsheets, graphs.Desired Skills & Experience• Proven experience as a Data Scientist or similar role, with a focus on building predictive models for LTV and Churn in a business setting, ideally within a Growth Marketing context.• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and familiarity with data manipulation and visualization tools (e.g., pandas, NumPy, matplotlib, seaborn).• Solid understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning techniques (e.g., regression, classification, clustering), and their practical applications in marketing analytics.• Experience working with large datasets and databases (SQL, NoSQL), with a knack for extracting meaningful insights from complex data sets.• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex findings into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders, particularly within Growth Marketing.• ETL experience is highly preferred, including DBT• Looker and Tableau visualization tools• Snowflake database engine• Experience with Cloud-based infrastructure, particularly AWS• Expert in relational technology• Metadata-drive and database-centric concepts• Enterprise data modeling, enterprise dimensional modeling• Enterprise data architecture master data management• Big data• 3-5 years of experience building LTV and churn models for digital/online businesses• MS/PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field.Base Compensation Range$200,000 - $220,000 annuallyBase salary is one component of total compensation. Employees may also be eligible for an annual bonus or commission. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay.The above represents the expected base compensation range for this job requisition.
