We have underwriting hubs in Bermuda, Liege, London, New York, Stockholm and Toronto, and licenses to write Property & Casualty and Accident & Health insurance and reinsurance globally. ​

Join Our Team  

You will be AVP, Pricing Actuary that will be part of a growing team focusing on commercial casualty lines. This role reports directly to the Head of US Casualty Pricing.  

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assist underwriters with assessing proposed transactions by providing both a quantitative and qualitative view of the risk.

• Price a wide variety of reinsurance transactions with available pricing models or with bespoke models.

• Participate and contribute to broker and client meetings as well as underwriting audits as required.

• Peer review pricing analyses performed by other members of the team.

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of actuarial pricing tools used by the team.

• Participate in strategic assessment and due diligence of new program opportunities.

• Provide an actuarial perspective on the expected profitability of new program opportunities.

• Monitor the loss emergence and go-forward profitability of existing programs.

• Evaluate pricing algorithms and potential gaps in existing programs.

Your skills and abilities should include:

• An actuarial credential (e.g. FCAS, ACAS).

• 8 years of experience in commercial casualty insurance pricing.

• Strong technical pricing skills.

• Exceptional problem solving and communication skills.

• Strong work ethic and teamwork mindset.

• Must have ability to be self-motivated, work independently, and multi-task on a variety of assignments.

SALARY:  The estimated salary range for this position is $150,000.00 per year to $175,000.00 per year. This is a good-faith assessment of the salary range for this position only.  In determining the actual salary within this range, SiriusPoint will consider a candidate’s relevant experience, location, and other job-related factors.
