Skyline Enterprises Inc. (SCE) is seeking to hire an HR Services & Total Rewards Manager for their Chicago office. The HR Services & Total Rewards Manager will report to the VP of People of Skyline Construction Enterprises (SCE) and will be required to work regularly in the Chicago office.


As a Human Resources Total Rewards Manager, you will serve in the following areas:
  • HR Services 
  • Manage the entire employee life cycle from onboarding, off-boarding, changes, records and systems management.
  • Establishes and maintains department records and reports.  Ability to run and create intermediate level excel report tied to headcount, status and analytics.
  • Ensure employee files maintain all necessary records.
  • Manages and performs all necessary state and federal HR reporting.
  • Handles general inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Assist HR team with the coordination of management training related to interviewing, hiring, termination, promotions and harassment trainings.
  • Partners with HR Talent team regarding reporting requests:  regional headcount.
  • Liaise with the local unions and work with union staff; Works with the Field staff as needed to ensure compliance with the Unions and manage any union related payroll matters
  • Partner with the SCE Holding Company VPs to ensure alignment.
  • Be a contact for employee relations issues and report all cases to the VP of People.
  • Contracts with outside suppliers to provide employee services, such as temporary employees.
  • Participate in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings, such as seminars.
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

  • Manages Total Rewards and works directly with the VP of People regarding company’s benefit programs & renewals.  Maintains and aligns employee levels using compensation market surveys.
  • The HR TRM will develop, administer and maintain various human resources programs and procedures for SCE and its family of companies. Total Rewards
  • Will oversee all employee inquiries concerning the Skyline benefit programs and all employee leaves request.  Will manage all leaves, tracking and communication to employees regarding their leaves.  (PFL, Maternity, FMLA and any disability claims)
  • Partner with the Skyline benefit Broker.
  • Understand the concepts related to diversity, equity and inclusion and be advocates for DE&I in their daily business practices. Works with regional leadership and other senior staff.
  • Assist with performance review process for regional offices as needed to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
  • Partner with the Human Resources team regarding the reward and recognition programs.
  • Perform written communications and updates to all employees regarding benefits and any regional compliance updates.


The successful candidate will possess:
  • 6+ years  related experience as an HR professional with a minimum of 2 years at a generalist capacity
  • Experience in multiple HR disciplines (Total Rewards:-Benefits / Leaves management, Compensation , Recognition and Rewards HRMS ,Compliance and Employee Relations
  • Must have spreadsheet experiences running pivot tables, v-lookups, charts and basic formulas
  • Knowledgeable with ADP Workforce Now and Lattice Performance Management too is a plus 
  • Familiarity with unions and construction operations is a plus.
  • Ability to coach general level staff.
  • Strong communication skills required
  • Ability to manage conflict
  • Track record of high integrity, credibility, and accountability
  • Diplomacy, maturity, and ability to keep matters confidential
  • Have the ability to travel to other regional offices and seminars as needed.

$110,000 - $135,000 a year
The actual salary offer will be carefully considered based on a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role is also eligible for health, disability, life, dental, vision and retirement benefits.
