Director of Content

We are seeking an open-minded, self-motivated professional with deep expertise in writing, clinical psychology, and UX design to lead our Content team. At Slingshot, you’d be a critical member of the cross-functional team building Ash, a next-generation therapy app powered by generative AI. Our model has already displayed great promise and capability, but we need your help to ensure its clinical soundness and develop its unique voice.

What you’d do

• Lead a team of writers and practicing clinical psychologists, who will craft clinically sound, warm, and insightful conversations about a vast range of mental health topics.

• Collaborate with machine learning engineers to train our state-of-the-art model on these conversations, developing its voice and deepening its clinical expertise.

• Work with product designers and managers to assess Ash’s efficacy, integrate user feedback, and make constant improvements to the app.

• Provide general copywriting support and play a key role in developing the voice of our brand.

• Develop and execute a long-term vision for the company’s approach to content and clinical effectiveness.

Who you are

• A strong writer––capable of writing engaging prose, dialogue, and copy. Can shift between a wide range of styles and tones, from academic to professional to conversational.

• Deep background knowledge in psychology––at minimum, you’ve studied psychology at an undergraduate level and have gone to therapy yourself. Our ideal candidate would be a credentialed psychologist with real-life experience treating patients.

• A technologist––you have worked on a cross-functional team to build an engaging, innovative product. Knowledge of user experience/product design is a must, and specific experience with conversational design would be ideal.

• You are a self-starter–– you’re excited about paving your way, defining your own role, and being a founding member of a high-impact project
