As Product Manager SaaS, you will play a key role in shaping Smappee's software solutions for the future of energy management. In this role, you will have a significant impact on the strategy, roadmap, and financial success of Smappee's SaaS offerings. You will help drive the development of innovative and scalable software platforms tailored to the needs of industrial and commercial users. This role involves conducting international market research, identifying product gaps, and creating solutions that enhance the value of our software platform. As the link between R&D, Sales, Finance, and Marketing, you will ensure that our SaaS products are profitable, user-friendly, high-quality, and meet customer needs. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a SaaS product strategy aligned with Smappee's overall product strategy and business objectives. 
  • Conduct market research and analyze industry trends to identify opportunities for innovative and differentiated software offerings. 
  • Define and prioritize software features, enhancements, and the SaaS product roadmap based on market demand, customer feedback, and competitive positioning. 
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure agile and efficient delivery of software features and improvements. 
  • Analyze profitability, assess risks, and make data-driven decisions to achieve financial targets while developing and executing strategies for revenue generation and cost management. 
  • Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and customers to gather insights and feedback for continuous improvement of the SaaS platform. 
  • Ensure the security, scalability, and performance of SaaS offerings align with industrial and enterprise customer requirements. 
  • Maintain compliance with relevant data protection regulations and cybersecurity standards for SaaS platforms. 
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in product management with a focus on software and SaaS solutions, ideally in an industrial context. 
  • Proven track record of building and scaling software/SaaS platforms from concept to market success. 
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and experience collaborating with software development teams. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to guide decision-making and strategy development. 
  • Experience in managing Profit & Loss (P&L) for software products or platforms. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical and business information in a clear, concise manner in English or Dutch. 
  • Knowledge of energy management, IoT ecosystems, or renewable energy solutions is a plus.
