Senior Backend Engineer

SmithRx is a rapidly growing Health-Tech company disrupting the Pharmacy Benefit Management sector. They are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining their product suite.

Skills

Expertise in compiled languages such as Go, Java, or Kotlin
Proficiency in relational databases, PostgreSQL, API design, and testing best practices
Knowledge of GraphQL APIs, CI/CD pipelines, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes
Positive team attitude, flexibility, and disciplined software design approach

Responsibilities

Design and develop back-end architecture for SmithRx product features using various languages
Collaborate with stakeholders and technical leads to understand requirements and produce high-quality, scalable software
Provide scope and estimate for system and feature builds through technical design documentation
Apply software development best practices, design patterns, and testing methodologies
Utilize AWS technologies for job handling and troubleshooting production issues
Coach/mentor junior team members and work with senior leadership on technical roadmap

Education

BS or advanced degree in computer science or relevant field
