Build the future of data. Join the Snowflake team.
Snowflake is growing fast and we’re scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth. We’re passionate about our people, our customers, our values and our culture! We’re also looking for people with a growth mindset and the pragmatic insight to solve for today while building for the future. And as a Snowflake employee, you will be accountable for supporting and enabling diversity and belonging.
Do you want to be part of the team that is shaking up the data world? Snowflake product marketers conceive and execute go-to-market plans for the most strategic areas of the business. We’re looking for a highly talented, driven, and self-motivated technical marketer for open source technologies, including Streamlit, Apache Polaris (incubating), and Apache Iceberg. This PMM will partner closely with Snowflake Developer Relations, Product, and Marketing, to build and execute go-to-market strategies to grow and nurture these open source communities, including owning messaging, regular launch motions, and working with external contributors.
Our ideal candidate has tangible experience marketing to developers (maybe you even used to be one!). If you're a self-starter and enthusiastic about joining a fast-paced open-source team with a knack for creatively engaging and expanding developer communities, this could be the right fit for you.
What you'll do:
- Own various GTM launch efforts to grow active usage and engagement within open source communities (craft new messaging and promotional copy, set goals, align stakeholders, creatively activate new/existing channels, and measure results).
- Develop compelling messaging and drive positioning for key open source technologies, informed by user research, competitive research, and a solid understanding of key use cases.
- Collaborate with Developer Relations, Product and Engineering teams to translate technical key features, benefits, and value propositions to new developer audiences. Communicate community requirements and provide input to product management on product enhancements and future product direction.
- Partner with the Developer Relations to help drive hands-on usage and kickstart development through technical content
- Be an active part of the open source ecosystem rather than a marketer to the community. Meet and build relationships with community members, attend meetups, and stay up to date on the latest trends.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of proven experience in product marketing, marketing to developers, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an intuitive understanding of what motivates developers and aligns stakeholders. You can explain complex, technical topics in a simple and approachable way.
- Technical background. Ideally, you are a developer yourself, or have deep experience marketing developer tools, data science, or AI/machine learning products.
- Proactively collaborative. You take action quickly while building strong relationships across the org, bringing people with different perspectives together and coming to a solution.
- Excellent project management skills, with an uncanny ability to keep multiple work streams and cross-functional partners in sync around timelines.
- Analytical and problem-solving. You have a knack for understanding how customers use products, identifying gaps, and proactively finding areas of opportunity.
- Love of open-source and experience driving bottoms up programs in an enterprise environment
- Ability to come into the office at least 3 days per week
