Join the Snowflake team.Snowflake's Sales Engineering organization is seeking a proven technical leader to join the Field CTO Office in our US Industries business segment, which is made up of Snowflake’s largest and most strategic customers. You will manage a world class team of data platform architects that support the US Verticals business segment.. In this role, you will work with account teams, partners, and product management to articulate the unique value that Snowflake’s Cloud Data Platform brings to highly-specialized workloads, including: Data Engineering, Data Warehouses, Data Lake, Data Science, Data Applications, and Data Sharing.Snowflake's data platform architecture team is instrumental in driving customer outcomes, platform innovation, and service growth across a broad set of US customers. You will be responsible for helping the team maintain its edge, promote best practices, provide resolution guidance, and enable the team to collaborate to create and present value-driven architectures of widely varying size and complexity.You will be a proven manager capable of managing a diverse team with a variety of skillsets and expertise. Your ability to hire and train talented individuals will translate to success both within Snowflake and for our customers.IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL GET TO:• Lead a Theater/Geo team of brilliant, customer-obsessed data platform architects.• Expand and promote the team within Snowflake with industry and deep domain expertise in each individual’s area of focus• Assist customers with running difficult and/or cutting edge workloads on Snowflake• Collaborate and maintain a close working relationship with leadership across Sales, Sales Engineering, Product, Professional Services, Marketing, and Support to drive successful outcomes• Manage the timely creation of internal and external assets developed by the Field CTO team (such as white-papers, reference architectures, blueprints, solution briefs, and best practices) to drive and support enablement and thought leadershipQUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED SKILLS:• 10+ years of industry experience in a pre-sales (quota carrying), technology consulting, or outbound product management capacity• 5+ years of direct line management experience (hiring, training, and retaining top talent)• Knowledge and/or experience in Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, and/or Cloud Computing with a focus on selling enterprise SaaS software• Technical knowledge within Databases, Data Warehousing, ETL, and Analytics• Outstanding and effective presentation skills to both internal and external technical and executive audiences, whether impromptu on a whiteboard or using presentations and demos• Bachelor’s Degree required; Masters Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related fields, or equivalent experience preferred• Expertise in any of the following industries is preferred (Financial Services, Healthcare & Life Sciences, Public Sector, Manufacturing, Retails and Communications, or Media and Entertainment.Every Snowflake employee is expected to follow the company’s confidentiality and security standards for handling sensitive data.
