Job Description

Sobi is currently recruiting for a Director, HEOR and RWE, to join our growing Health Economic and Outcomes Research/Real-World Evidence (HEOR/RWE) team within the Medical Affairs department.  In this position, the individual will be responsible for leading HEOR and RWE scientific strategy, evidence generation, and dissemination plans for Sobi’s North America disease portfolios. This position is remote, but candidate must reside within the US and preferably on central or eastern time zone.

Essential Responsibilities/Scope of the Job

  • Lead the design and execution of HEOR and RWE studies/projects for the US market in alignment with the brand strategy and demonstrate the value proposition for assets in the Sobi NA portfolio.
  • Partner with Market Access and other internal stakeholders to develop and ensure appropriate dissemination of customer facing HEOR/RWE related materials/tools (i.e. economic/value-based models, evidence blueprints, AMCP dossiers, publications etc.) per FDA guidance and internal SOPs to successfully support reimbursement and access requirements.
  • Lead the development of appropriate data dissemination plans and communicate evidence generated via publications and conference presentations.
  • Develop strategic partnerships and research collaborations with key external experts, healthcare policy makers, and various thought leaders to support asset strategies.
  • Ensure quality in internal / external communications including publications, training support for HEOR studies, and models and/or tools developed for the respective therapeutic areas. 
  • Contributes to the development of evidence generation plans and design of RWE studies (e.g., systematic literature reviews, database studies, and observational studies/disease registries)
  • Performs statistical analyses using SAS software (or similar statistical software), data management, including data base building, extraction and cleaning of raw data, derivation of new variables, labelling and formatting of raw and derived variables, and multiple imputation

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree (PhD, DrPH, ScD) in health economics, health services research, epidemiology, or biostatistics, or related field with 4+ years professional experience in a pharmaceutical/biotech, consulting, healthcare, academic or research setting
  • Master’s degree with 7+ years professional experience in a pharmaceutical/biotech, consulting, healthcare, academic or research setting
  • 4+ years of experience in developing economic and value-based models
  • 4+ years of experience in study design, research methodology, and statistical analysis
  • 4+ years of experience conducting statistical analyses with SAS (Advanced programming skills) or similar statistical software packages.

Preferred:

  • Technical expertise in development and evaluation of economic and value-based models is required
  • Experience using SAS or similar statistical software packages
  • Excellent written and oral communication/presentation skills
  • Experience in communicating technical data both internally and externally to non-technical audiences is required.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality, and scientific rigor
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Solid work ethic with demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes in scope or direction of projects
  • Experience in immunology, hematology or any rare disease is a plus

Up to 10% travel (including international) as per business needs.

 

The base salary pay range for this role is $180,000-225,000 annually. Actual pay for this position will take into account factors such as experience and location. In addition to a base salary, this position is also eligible for a competitive 401k match, short and long-term incentives, medical, dental, vision, STD/LTD and life insurance benefits, in addition to other health and wellness programs and offerings.
