Social Media Intern

Position Overview

SingleStore is pleased and excited to welcome a Social Media Intern to the SingleStore Marketing team. The Social Media intern will partner closely with the marketing team, our Director of Communications/PR, and various other departments in our organization on multiple projects throughout the summer. This opportunity is perfect for an individual who is looking to gain exposure with a hyper growth Silicon Valley scale-up. This individual will have the opportunity to learn the different responsibilities that go into working with an organization at this level while having the freedom to be creative and self-sufficient.

Role and Responsibilities

• The intern must be familiar with Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, and will be expected to maintain the company's voice and tone across all social media platforms
• Ability to develop original and captivating content that speaks to different audiences across multiple social media platforms
• The social media intern will be responsible for having content queued across multimedia platforms
• Monitor social media trends in the industry that can inspire and drive the curation of new and exciting content

Required Skills and Experience

• We are looking for someone who is passionate about all things social media
• Currently a rising sophomore, junior, or senior pursuing a BA/BS degree
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A can-do positive attitude, exceptional attention to detail, and excels in a team oriented environment
• Independent, proactive, and always thinking about different ways to drive engagement with our social media

SingleStore's base salary range for this role, if based in California, Colorado, Washington, or New York City is: $18 - $25 USD per hour.
