Software Engineer II, Telecommute Opportunity

Who you are:

We’re looking for a Software Engineer II to build reliable systems that deliver actionable information to customers in real-time. Set technical direction for significant parts of our microservices based architecture. Responsible for mentoring and training other software engineers. Build back end systems to manage massive amounts of data and work with distributed systems using microservices architecture. Develop software applications with OO languages (Java or Scala), using SQL and NoSQL data stores and run them in containers in a cloud environment. Design significant features that impact multiple platforms and apps, own portions of our product suite, and be responsible for reliability and scalability, bringing new ideas to engineering-wide processes, and plan the next iterations of architecture. Works independently to support software through the entire software development life cycle environment and technical documentation. May telecommute from any location in the U.S.

Required Skills & Experience:

- This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 4 years related experience.
- Must also have 12 months of experience with each of the following:

Performing the full range of application development activities, including unit testing and code deployment, performing code reviews and analyzing software, and performing design reviews;
Developing software such as TDD including JUnit, automated testing including Cucumber, Jasmine, and continuous integration including Jenkins;
Developing RESTful web services using spring framework, java, and maven following microservices architecture;
Deploying, managing, and monitoring microservices in a Cloud Platform (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud); and
Developing Ul including HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and React JS (or similar framework).

- Will accept experience gained concurrently.
- Full-time, position may telecommute from any location in the U.S.

-Salary $145,000
