Software Engineer, Platform API

In this role you will be responsible for developing a scalable and secure API for integration of Bear robotics robots with various 3rd party services. You are expected to work closely with other engineers including cloud, system robotics, human-robot interaction (HRI) teams, and also third parties to develop an scalable cloud-based API that serves thousands of robots across the globe. Being in a fast-paced startup, you are also expected to work with high–level requirements, and to manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables with your technical expertise.

Minimum qualifications

• BS in EE/CS or related field
• 2 years of relevant work experience
• Solid programming skills with a modern programming language: C++, Go, Python

Preferred experience

• Experience with RabbitMQ, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, REST API, or similar technologies
• Experience with Software Platform, Service-oriented Architecture, Microservice architecture
• API Security (Authentication, Authorization, Rate Limiting)
• Experience with Open API (e.g. Facebook API)

The pay range for this position is$120K to $215K. Pay is dependent on the applicant's relevant experience.
