Software Engineer – Platform

Roles & Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer in the Platform team, you will be responsible for:

Design and development of core product features that are fundamental to the Cyral solution
Code, test, deploy and maintain important Cyral services such as Database protocol handlers, parsers and policy engines
Write functional specifications, break down the feature into tasks
Follow the software development process and use the appropriate tools to build high quality software
Work collaboratively and communicates effectively with the team
Write unit and end to end automation scripts along with the feature code
Passionate about solving customer problems and willing to go the extra mile in making customers happy
Excited about fast paced and startup environment

Qualifications :
3+ years of experience with Golang/Java and Python or relevant technologies
Proficient in data structures and algorithms
Prior experience in parsing and analysis of protocols such as Database protocols, is a mandatory requirement
Prior experience with compilers will be an added advantage
Experience working with microservices architecture with REST API and gRPC based interfaces
Proficient with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
Understanding of cloud infrastructure providers such as AWS and Azure and deployment tools such as Terraform, Cloudformation and Helm, etc.
Experience working in a startup or security products will be an added advantage
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent Degree
