Software Engineer - UCaaS and WebRTC SDKs (Fully Remote)

Position Summary

SignalWire is a cloud native, 100% fully remote company founded by the creators of the number-one open source communication platform in the world. Through our unique domain expertise and deep technical background, we are rapidly developing and supporting scalable, easy-to-use communications APIs with a tight-knit engineering team. SignalWire is looking for a Software Engineer to focus on developing SDKs for call, WebRTC, video, message, and chat APIs. SignalWire offers engineers the opportunity to build new services and systems critical to the success of a dynamic, fast-growing company - to push forward the boundaries of communication and grow their career as SignalWire grows.

Responsibilities

• Add new features to SDKs
• Prioritize backlog with team lead and product manager
• Work with peers to provide code reviews
• Work with QA to ensure SDKs are testable
• Create unit and integration tests for CI/CD
• Create demo apps of new platform features

Requirements

• Professional experience with state management libraries like Redux
• Hands-on Experience with Node.js, Webpack, esbuild, NPM, and monorepos
• Familiarity with Docker and Git

Nice to Have

• Front end development experience
• Browser WebRTC API expereince
• iOS or Android experience

Life Insurance, Short Term, and Long Term Disability

SignalWire pays for every employee to have $50,000 of life insurance coverage. If you want even more coverage, that is optional and paid by the employee. We also pay for Short Term Disability insurance for every employee which covers 60% of your weekly income (up to $2500/week after 14 days) and Long Term Disability which covers 50% of your income (up to $1000 after 180 waiting period). Additional Short Term and Long Term Disability coverage can be added at the employee's expense.
