Job Duties : Maintain constant health of the supporting systems through development of effective tooling, alerting and proactive identification of reliability risks, to keep customer facing services available and at top performance. Assume the role of first responder during incidents and swiftly resolve/mitigate platform impacting issues. Triage issues across the entire stack: hardware, software, application, and network. Assist with the post incident review process by isolating key process, product, and platform failures. Engage the Engineering teams with carry forward action items that will improve ongoing reliability. Stay atop of industry innovation in order to actively develop the team's tooling and automation efforts via Slack bots, scripting and other tools that allow for true 'one click' alerting, analysis and remediation. Help onboard new Platform services into SRE, ensuring adequate documentation, detailed Runbooks, sufficient monitoring, and appropriate escalation channels have been defined and agreed. Build end-to-end documentation and instrumentation of the Platform to ensure visibility, automation, self-healing, and resiliency throughout the stack. Ensure execution readiness at all times through frequent game day exercises and drills. Perform 24x7 Site Reliability rotations and escalation workflows. ˆ HQ address additionally encompasses the following Salesforce locations in San Francisco: 350 Mission Street, 415 Mission Street, and 50 Fremont Street. The permanent position may be offered at any of these locations in San Francisco. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Minimum Requirements : Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in the field of software engineering/program analysis or two (2) years of experience in the job offered OR Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the field of software engineering/program analysis or five (5) years of experience in the job offered.

A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering (any field)).

Special Skill Requirements : (1) Python; (2)Docker; (3) Data structures; (4)bash; (5)Terraform; (6) shell scripting; (7)REST API; (8)Git; (9) Linux. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Education, experience and criminal background checks will be conducted. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Salary : $183,310.00 - $258,700.00 per annum.
