Opportunity Summary:
The Upland Education and Training department is responsible for the creation, distribution and delivery of product related knowledge, training and education for Document Workflow Products for Upland Software. The DWF Technical Trainer is responsible for creating and delivering DWF focused training to Partners and Customers, as well as assisting in the creation and editorial review of online help documentation.

Document Workflow Cloud is a Business unit of Upland Software has an opening in our professional services department for a Software Trainer. The Software trainer works directly with our customers and partners to provide training on multiple different application. Trainer will create training videos that will be shared on Northpass EMS system and other EMS systems. Training areas will include post go-live training, train the trainer training for partners and clients.

Individuals in this role will consult with customer staff at all levels as well as well as working cross-functionally with many internal departments such as the development, sales and support teams. The Software Trainer are responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously.

This individual may be required to travel to customer sites for customer trainings.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Maintains subject matter expert knowledge of Upland Document Workflow Cloud Software Applications‒ proficient in its functionality, features, and limitations; well-informed of new features and releases.
  • Conducts training both in-person and via webcast for a broad range of technical understanding among users.
  • Maintains and promotes a positive image of Upland Document Workflow Cloud Software Applications including its functionality, features, modules, limitations, departments, and employees.
  • The ability to create and deliver Training videos that are easily understandable
  • Works with VP, Professional Services and the Marketing department to develop and conduct training for the user conference.
  • Provides product and new hire training to Upland Document Workflow Cloud Software Applications.
  • Conducts trainings as needed, including, but not limited to, New Hire and subject-specific trainings.
  • Gathers clients' technical requirements, needs, and expectations by consulting with Project Management.
  • Disseminates information as well as discusses technical issues that arise with the Professional Services and Customer Support departments.
  • Provides post-training customer feedback to Support, Development, and Professional Services teams.
  • Plans training prior to and during training sessions based on general correspondence, evaluation of learning styles, and awareness of expectations and needs. Verifies all requirements are met prior to scheduled training sessions to ensure successful training sessions. Adjusts training delivery as needed.
  • Develops complex presentations, including PowerPoints, in an understandable and concise format. Breaks down complex features into easy-to-learn and easy-to-grasp concepts.
  • Performs regular research for continuous learning of industry knowledge and trends.
  • Coordinates training schedules by consulting with project managers. Books onsite travel as needed in accordance with Travel Policy.
  • Uses effective writing, verbal, and presentation skills in composing written materials, responding to emails, and regular interaction to solve work related problems and concerns.
  • Additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or experience in lieu of education)
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working with complex software applications as a super user, configuration/implementation or support analyst, system administrator and/or trainer.
  • Prior customer implementation related experience preferred
  • Prior experience in an external client facing role strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated maturity and demeanor to establish immediate professional credibility with clients
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to deliver effective presentations and training's covering complex information to audiences of all levels
  • Must be have flexible personality and creative mindset to identify out of the box, new or alternate solutions or work a rounds.
  • Ability to multi-task while also being highly detail-oriented and organized
  • Self-starter with demonstrated ability to work independently, be resourceful, and set priorities appropriately
  • Willingness/Ability to Travel (30%)

Desired Skills:

  • Video training Experience
  • Document Management and Workflow automation experience helpful.
