Savi is a leading social impact technology startup based in DC that is working to solve the student debt crisis. Our mission is to help the 46+ million student loan borrowers better understand their debt, find federal forgiveness programs, and enroll. We're looking for people who have the desire to build meaningful products and the drive to do great work as part of a team.

Our clients include Fortune 500 companies, financial institutions and the nation’s largest membership groups, who use our platform to help their employees and members better manage their student loans and save money.

We are looking for experienced engineers to join our growing engineering team and help scale a product to millions of borrowers.

Responsibilities:

• Own entire features through all phases of the software development cycle.
• Develop new services to support our growing business and product offerings.
• Design, build, and maintain APIs that will be consumed internally and by external partners.
• Improve functionality and performance of our Loan Repayment Calculation service.
• Build monitoring, reporting, and admin tools for internal stakeholders.
• Ship code on a weekly basis that solves meaningful customer problems.
• Contribute to building out and monitoring our growing infrastructure in AWS.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience building and maintaining modern, customer-facing web applications.
• Experience with AWS, LEMP, Laravel, Python, and/or React on production web applications.
• Write readable, testable code.
• Love tools, technologies, and frameworks, but are first and foremost pragmatic.
• Willing to wear many hats and collaborate with technical and non-technical team members.

Nice to have:

• Experience as a Cloud or DevOps Engineer (building and maintaining AWS cloud infrastructure for production environments).
• Experience with Terraform
