Project Manager, New Launch

The position will report to Director, New Launch Project Management and will manage the execution of new product launches and phase in projects from concept to ready to ship. This role is a hybrid role based in NYC that requires 2 times a month in the office.
Overall Responsibilities:
- Build and oversee development timelines using project management software for multiple new product launches and phase-in projects from concept to ready to ship.
- Collaborate with packaging and PD to establish initial development timelines aligned with desired launch dates.
- Lead segments of weekly and bi-weekly cross-functional team meetings to assess project status, identify risks, and outline key next steps.
- Coordinate meetings among cross-functional teams to ensure timely achievement of project deliverables.
- Interface with various cross-functional teams including marketing, procurement, packaging, production planning, PD, and regulatory to ensure new launch and phase-in related data is up to date.
- Understand the impact of project decisions on COGs and provide assessments for cost reduction opportunities.
- Proactively identify and escalate development risks to relevant stakeholders.
- Publish meeting agendas and follow-up on action items to ensure accountability among team members.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in new product development with cross-functional teams, preferably within the fragrance and beauty industry.
- Thorough understanding of task dependencies and their relation to steps in the new product development process.
- Effective collaboration with all organizational levels, adept at addressing issues, providing recommendations for action plans, and demonstrating ease in presenting to senior leadership.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to problem-solve through unexpected situations.
- Proactive team player with attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in Smartsheet, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and web-based applications. Ability to adapt and learn new software.
