About The Role


The Director of Enterprise Accounts is responsible for leading and managing the company's efforts to cultivate and expand relationships with key enterprise clients. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep solar industry knowledge, a strong sales background and excellent leadership skills. The Director will be responsible for driving revenue growth, ensuring customer satisfaction, and leading a team of account managers to achieve organizational goals.


Responsibilities
  • Strategic Account Management: Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in large commercial and industrial enterprises. Understand clients' energy needs and provide tailored solar solutions to meet those needs. Manage the sales pipeline, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the commercial and industrial sector. Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve company sales targets. Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to align sales strategies with market demands.
  • Customer Engagement: Conduct presentations and demonstrations of solar products and solutions. Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the sales process. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
  • Market Analysis: Collaborate with in-house policy team to stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities. Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and threats. Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on market insights and sales performance.


Qualifications
  • 3+ years of business or project development experience in the solar energy industry.
  • Thorough technical understanding of the C&I solar development process, including utility interconnection, AHJ permitting, and construction.
  • Proven track record of sales or partnership performance is required.
  • Formal solutions sales training is a plus.
  • Knowledge of sustainability related topics including Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) topics and trends.
  • Leadership ability and comfortable driving high-visibility projects.
  • Well-versed in Microsoft Dynamics, MS Office suite, and Google Earth.  Familiarity with ArcGIS and energy modeling software is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of rooftop commercial PV construction means and methods, behind-the-meter and Utility interconnections, and Power Purchase Agreements and EPC Contracts.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, self-starter.
  • Must have reliable transportation and willing to travel to various job sites.
  • 10-30% travel required.
