Solution Architect

About the job:

We are looking for a Solution Architect to join us. In this role, you will gather customer requirements and create business solutions based on Red Hat products and work with the sales team through every step of the sales process. Provide Red Hat sales teams with the expertise needed to successfully compete with other products to solve complex business solutions.

What you will do:

Deliver technical presentations on Red Hat products and solutions customized for customers by tailoring the messages to the audience skill level
Work with customers to identify their business problems and propose Red Hat solutions Work with the sales team in creating, delivering and responding to proposals, as well as coordinate additional technical resources as needed for the proposals
Responsible for the design and planning of the Red Hat solutions, including planning the Red Hat product scope to meet customer needs
Update the Salesforce database with all account and opportunity activity and maintain Salesforce reports to track upcoming opportunities and renewals with the help of internal Salesforce experts

What you will bring:

Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in computer science, information technology, electronic engineering or related field and 3+ years of experience in the job offered or related role
3+ years of experience with UNIX or Linux systems
2+ years of experience with: open-source cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) solutions; on premises cloud technologies, including OpenShift; Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and container technologies; OpenShift or Kubernetes deployment and maintenance; and interpreting customer business and technical needs and explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Willingness to participate in up to 30% domestic travel required to client visits and attend conferences, following Red Hat’s COVID-19 guidelines; travel expenses covered by Red Hat, Inc.
