The Challenge:

Qualtrics Solutions Engineers build impactful relationships with customers, becoming their trusted advisor. They strive to understand client pain points and business priorities, subsequently matching them with our platform capabilities. As an integral part of the sales cycle, this role designs and delivers demonstrations that illustrate product features and solutions. They work cross-functionally with the sales team to achieve sales targets and promote the Qualtrics brand. This specific role will sit on the enterprise healthcare team, focusing on customers within the healthcare/life sciences practice.


A Day in the Life

  • Translate and articulate product strengths and technical features into value drivers, relative to competitors
  • Architect custom solutions to solve customer problems and business challenges
  • Drive adoption of solutions, expanding usage across departments within organizations
  • Respond to initial product requests and frame issues for discussion and resolution with product and engineering teams
  • Work collaboratively with product management, marketing and engineering during development, launch, and continuing refinement of new and existing products
  • Participate in sales planning and business development activities

Expectations for Success

  • 8+ years of experience in a comparable pre-sales position, supporting the sales cycle in selling CRM or other high value business solutions
  • 2+ years of experience working with healthcare/life sciences accounts
  • Familiarity with healthcare technology (EMR, HIE) and industry needs (CAHPS, CMS programs, patient outcomes)
  • Stellar business acumen to execute needs analysis, positioning, business justification, and closing techniques
  • Ability to explain and resolve common technical aspects of SaaS software, including security, protocols for APIs, SLAs, email/communication specifications, etc.
  • High energy, self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity in entrepreneurial environments
  • Travel required (up to 30%)
  • Bachelor’s degree

The base pay range for this position in the US is $129k - $230k per year; however base pay may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, education, skills, and experience. A sign on bonus and restricted stock units may be included in an employment offer, in to a range of other medical, financial and other benefits based on eligibility criteria.
