Our product and engineering teams develop apps used by our members, tools used by our field teams that are powered by a sophisticated analytics platform, and infrastructure that services our operations and health plans customers. We are now seeking a Solutions Engineer who will work with our Product, Marketing, and Account Management teams to understand our customers' business challenges, create prototypes and lightweight solutions to support experiments and initiatives in the field, and then work with the Product team and other Engineering resources to integrate those prototypes back into the main product suite.

Solutions Engineer

As a Solutions Engineer, you will work with our Product, Marketing, and Account Management teams to understand our customers' business challenges and create prototypes and lightweight solutions in support of experiments and initiatives in the field. Eventually you will work with the Product team and our other Engineering resources to integrate those prototypes back into the main product suite.

Our ideal candidate is someone who loves tinkering with frameworks and programming languages, and frequently works on small side projects in order to keep up with the latest and greatest technologies. We’ll need someone who can build MVPs quickly, has plenty of experience with API integrations, and a creative, out-of-the-box thinker who has a knack for working through bugs to get things operational. You’ll also need to strike the balance between quality and addressing client needs.

Our current stack includes Salesforce, AWS and NodeJS, but in this position you’ll be encouraged to use whatever technology makes the most sense for your problem. The only constraint is that you’ll need to integrate with our existing systems to store and retrieve data. This is a full-stack role that potentially extends through mobile development as well.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete software development process from conception to deployment
• Work with stakeholders to understand requirements
• Collaborate with other team members on design and architecture
• Implement new features and functionality
• Fix problems and enhance capabilities in existing products
• Write unit, integration, and UI tests to ensure quality and correctness
• Work in an agile environment including sprints, standups, and retrospectives
• Collaborate and work closely with Director of Engineering and other developers

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on software development experience, focused on full stack development.
• Solid understanding of at least one of the following languages: NodeJS, Python, Ruby
• Familiarity with React, Angular, or Vue on the front-end
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or related field preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to complete tasks on time and to the satisfaction of stakeholders.
• Prior experience with Salesforce experience would be a plus
• Good understanding of SQL and database expertise
• Experience with telecommunications platforms, such as Twilio, is a plus
• Experience with HIPAA compliance, HITRUST and healthcare security a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
