Job Description

As a COBOL DevOps Engineer, you work intensively in multidisciplinary teams to build and maintain robust applications. You’re actively involved in translating Product Backlog Items into technical solutions and help with issues of compliance, performance, modernization and integration. Your work is highly relevant with contributions to extremely critical systems at major organizations in The Netherlands. 

At Sopra Steria ZTech, you’ll work for the Benelux market leader in COBOL skills and specialist in application development on IBM z Systems (mainframes). You’ll join an experienced and stable team where quality and professionalism are paramount. Together you’ll help the customer modernize and optimize their systems so that they continue to meet all future requirements. 

Qualifications

You have an eye for detail and know how to make the right choices independently. This ensures that you’re an ace at developing software.

You’re also eager to learn and you take your own development and staying up-to-date with the latest software technologies very seriously. You enjoy sharing your knowledge with your colleagues. 

You also have: 

  • A bachelor’s degree 
  • Experience working in a DevOps/Agile environment 
  • Been involved in various development and management projects for several years  
  • Gained extensive knowledge of IBM Mainframe with z/OS, CICS, DB2, JCL, MQ or Micro Focus COBOL preferably icm Azure DevOps 
  • Dutch language skills at professional level
