Sotheby’s is looking for an Associate Cataloguer to research and catalogue private sale objects in New York. Ideal candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Art History and 1-2 years of professional experience in Impressionist art history.

Knowledge of Impressionist art history and artists
Impeccable organizational and writing skills
Strong time-management skills

Responsibilities

Assist with cataloguing, researching and preparing notes for Private Sales objects
Manage authentication processes and gallery outreach for authentication purposes
Collaborate with departments to develop a methodology for proactive sourcing

Education

Bachelor’s degree with Major/Concentrator in Art History
