The Southern Poverty Law Center is seeking an ambitious Video Producer to join our award-winning team!The Video Producer delivers high-quality creative editing and maintenance of post-production workflow that meets internal and external deadlines, including editing content for digital distribution across various platforms, such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, etc.Who You AreExperienced. You have proven proficiency in shooting and editing videos, both short and long format. You're knowledgeable in Adobe Creative Cloud and other relevant software, with demonstrated storytelling skills, a strong grasp of video techniques and terminology, and a refined visual sensibility.Collaborative. You’re a team player who actively engages with both internal and external colleagues throughout the entire video production process, from conception to completion.Communicative. You're skilled in persuasive verbal and written communication, have solid presentation skills, and are able to apply feedback effectively while maintaining respect and confidentiality.Innovative & Strategic. You actively foster an anti-racist work culture and demonstrate a commitment to anti-racist principles and continued learning.What You'll DoConceptualize and edit short videos that adhere to SPLC brand and identityUtilize sound, transitions, shot threading, and composites to create compelling contentContribute to print, web, and other graphic design projects as neededCreate motion graphics using After EffectsEncode, render, and deliver final video projects through multiple channelsPerform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classificationMinimum QualificationsWe are committed to equitable hiring practices, therefore you must meet the minimum qualifications to be considered for the role.• Minimum 3 years of creating and editing video, motion graphics and other creative assets; and• High School Diploma or GED.Compensation & BenefitsThis is an exempt role and the minimum starting salary is $62,332 annually. Salary will be commensurate with experience.Click here to view the benefits available to SPLC staff.Where & How You'll WorkThis role the following work designations options:• Local Remote: Will work remotely, but is expected to attend work-related activities that occur at the SPLC offices or in the states in which the SPLC operates.• Telework: Will work at an SPLC office at least three days per week and may work two days per week from an alternative work location.• This position will report to the Deputy Director, Photography & Video.Other Special ConsiderationsThis job is performed under general office conditions and is not subject to any strenuous physical demands or dangerous conditions.
