Automation and Controls Engineer (Starlink)

SpaceX is looking for an Automation and Controls Engineer to join the team working on the Starlink project. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in developing automation projects and ensuring factory safety and reliability.

Skills

Proven ability to solve complex problems with simple solutions
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to engineer new approaches while adhering to safety standards
Experience in machine design, motion systems, and electrical system design
Proficiency in NEC, NFPA, UL508A codes
Hands-on experience with electrical troubleshooting and industrial systems

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and manage automation projects
Architect and write PLC code for high-volume manufacturing applications
Ensure ANSI/RIA15.06/OSHA compliance for factory equipment
Design electrical systems compliant to regulations
Create aesthetically simple HMI screens for easy machine operation
Stay organized by creating schedules and budgets for projects

Education

Bachelor's degree in an engineering, physics, or computer science discipline
