HVAC Technician

SpaceX is actively looking for an HVAC Technician to maintain and repair HVAC support equipment on facilities systems. The ideal candidate will collaborate with engineering and managers to ensure systems are in peak operating condition.

Skills

Professional experience working with HVAC, pneumatic, mechanical, or electrical systems
Knowledge in HVAC technology, electrical safety, pneumatic principles, tubing, pipe-fittings, rotating machinery, mechanical fasteners
Universal certification from the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI)
Knowledge of high pressure gas, flammable gas, and refrigeration gases
Basic understanding of refrigeration, motors, and mechanics theory

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair HVAC support equipment on facilities systems
Collaborate with engineering and managers to maintain systems in peak operating condition
Follow all regulations and appropriate SpaceX procedures
Perform ductwork modifications, brazing, soldering, evacuation, charging of refrigerants, water piping and insulation modifications and repairs

Education

High school diploma or equivalency certificate
Associate degree in HVAC technology (preferred)
