Propulsion Engineer (Raptor Avionics)

SpaceX is looking for a Propulsion Engineer to join the Raptor Avionics team. The role involves developing controls and sensing solutions for the reliable operation of engines on Starship.

Skills

Experience working on pressure transducers or physical sensors
Experience with sensor calibration and testing
Data analysis skills in Python, MATLAB, or Minitab
Knowledge of various physical sensors and their operation

Responsibilities

Support the development, test, and qualification of avionics hardware and sensors used on Raptor engines
Coordinate testing of avionics hardware and interface with vendors and production teams
Work across teams to develop appropriate hardware/software to meet vehicle requirements
Investigate failures, document findings, and drive corrective actions

Education

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or physics
Master’s degree in related technical field (preferred)
