Sr. Accountant

SpaceX is actively seeking a Senior Accountant to join their General Accounting team in Hawthorne, CA. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in day-to-day accounting operations, supporting various balance sheet reconciliations and ad-hoc requests.

Skills

Strong accounting knowledge and understanding of US GAAP
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Dynamics 365
CPA designation with public accounting experience
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and problem-solve collaboratively

Responsibilities

Oversee fixed asset, prepaid, and construction in progress accounting processes
Develop and maintain global fixed asset accounting policies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on internal processes and controls
Optimize accounting operations and maintain supporting schedules
Assist in financial reporting and audit preparation
Provide general ledger journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations

Education

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
